Bridget Noel Welch Kamke (also known as Guru Beant Kaur) is 35 years old and she lives in Florida where she is an author, Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Kundalini Yoga teacher. She is also a multi-talented artist, and her gifts include writing, painting, dancing, singing, and more.  Bridget especially loves to sing and dance with her three year old!  Inspired by her daughter, Bridget is planning to write a second children's book about yoga.  When Bridget is not working or making art and music, she likes to dance with her little girl, garden with her botanist husband, prepare fresh vegetarian delights for her family, or play with her dog Lucy and her cat Shoomie.

Why does the author have so many names?

The name Guru Beant Kaur was given to Bridget by Yogi Bhajan, the master of Kundalini Yoga. It is her spiritual name and when you call her by it, you call her forth to be her greatest! Guru (pronounced "Goo-Roo") means something that brings you from darkness to light, like a teacher, a great realization, or your own inner wisdom. Beant (pronounced "BAY-Aunt") means infinite or without limit. Kaur (pronounced "Kar") means princess. Pretty fancy, huh?
